Dust off your bike, fasten your helmet, and get pedalling - national Ride2Work Day is next Wednesday. Macquarie Park is celebrating with a street party, and everyone is welcome!
Our friends at Optus invite all of the community to Giffnock Lane, which will be closed to traffic and open to people for the morning.
Whether you’re an absolute beginner or a seasoned cyclist - or just curious - plenty of two-wheeled fun is planned!
Expect complimentary coffee, free bike tune-ups from a pop up mechanic, and electric cargo bike demos from Lug+Carrie.
Blend your own healthy smoothie - on a bike - and enjoy a moment with your team mates in the outdoor lounge.
Plus enjoy music, photos, cycling swag and a street brekkie in the sunshine!
Australia’s biggest celebration of commuter riding, national Ride2Work Day is a social movement that encourages active travel and highlights the many benefits of riding to work.
From reduced health risks, to time and cost savings, limiting your carbon footprint and even increasing your focus and productivity…there’s plenty of reasons to get on your bike!
So, add Macquarie Park’s Ride2Work day celebration to your diary and get ready to ride - we look forward to seeing you there!
The Connect MPID team are currently conducting our area’s biggest survey ‘Ask Macquarie Park’, which measures how we all get to work. Walk, ride, bus, train or car? We want to hear from you:
