You’re invited to “know your normal” this breast cancer awareness month, with leading local employer Novartis teaming up with Macquarie University and charity Pink Hope to offer free health checks on campus.

Attendees can expect self-check demos at 10AM and 2PM each day, a panel discussion and a team on hand to talk to about how you can “know your normal”.

A University campus packed with young students might seem a strange place to host a breast cancer awareness event, but the team at Pink Hope are keen to emhasise that cancer doesn’t age discriminate.

A recent YouGov study revealed 63% of women in Australia do not undertake regular self-checks, despite them being crucial to early detection and preventing later-stage cancer diagnosis.
