Happy Ride2Work Day, Macquarie Park!

Macquarie Park employees geared up to celebrate Ride2Work Day at a street festival on Giffnock Lane, this morning.

Cyclists of all levels, from beginners to seasoned riders - and everyone in between - joined in on the fun, making it a memorable event.

The morning featured complimentary coffee and free bike tune-ups from a pop-up mechanic. Lug+Carrie offered e-bike demos and test-riding, and there were healthy breakfasts, pedal-powered smoothies and an assortment of cycling swag to add to the excitement.

The event was a testament to the many benefits of riding a bike: from improved mental and physical wellbeing, to promoting a healthier planet and more affordable and efficient travel.

Local State MP for Ryde, Jordan Lane also made an appearance, fastening his helmet and taking to Lug+Carrie’s electric cargo bikes for a test ride.

The Connect MPID team had a stall too, rallying support for our “Ask Macquarie Park” survey and capturing insights on how local employees travel to work. Whether you walk, ride, take the bus, train or drive - our survey is still open, and we’d love for you to share your experiences with us! We were also pleased to welcome some of the two-wheeled commuters currently participating in our “Cycling made e-asy” free four-week e-bike subscription program.

While Ride2Work Day is over, spring is a perfect time to push those pedals, spread the bike love and join the movement to get more people riding bikes this October.

Until next year, keep the wheels turning and spirits high!
