2021 Census results reveal the changing face of Macquarie Park

Initial results from the 2021 Australian Census reveal how our area is changing, including a significant increase in the number of people who now call our innovation district home:

Census results show the residential population of Macquarie Park increasing, even as long-term plans for the area remain to be finalised.

In 2021 the NSW Government published a 20-year plan to transform Macquarie Park in to a world-leading innovation district, setting out targets for an increase in the number of jobs and an additional 7,650 homes here.

Earlier this year Connect MPID brought industry and government together for The Macquarie Park Summit to highlight the speed and significance of our area’s changing landscape, and the need for further coordination and collaboration in the Park.
