Macquarie University's Deep Tech Incubator to benefit from share of $11 million innovation boost funding
The NSW Government, in collaboration with Investment NSW, has unveiled a commitment of $11 million to propel innovation throughout the state through the reinvigorated Boosting Business Innovation Program (BBIP).
This initiative will directly impact Macquarie Park Innovation District, where Macquarie University is leveraging BBIP funding to advance the works of the DeepTech Incubator.
Under the leadership of Minister for Innovation, Science, and Technology, Anoulack Chanthivong, this revamped initiative aims to stimulate breakthroughs across sectors.
Reflecting on the funding, Macquarie University Vice Chancellor Professor S Bruce Downton stated:
“The BBIP funding has been critical in supporting Macquarie University’s ability to bring our DeepTech offering to fruition. In providing the high-value infrastructure that is in demand by deep tech and scaleup organisations, Macquarie University is helping New South Wales drive groundbreaking discoveries to successful commercial ventures for the benefit of Australia and the world."
