Innovative health provider joins Connect Macquarie Park Innovation District

Innovative health provider WiSE Walk In Specialist Emergency Clinic (Khartoum Road) are the latest leading local workplace to join Connect Macquarie Park Innovation District as a member.

WiSE operates as a private walk-in emergency services department providing immediate specialist care for non-life-threatening emergencies - reducing wait times for patients, and easing the burden on the public health system. The unique doctor-led clinic is the first of its kind in the country, with a second clinic recently built and opened in Robina on Queensland's Gold Coast.

CEO and emergency physician turned entrepreneur Dr Pankaj Arora says WiSE is proud to call Macquarie Park home:

"As an innovator in emergency health care provision building our base in the Macquarie Park innovation district made perfect sense. We've trialled and scaled our service offer here - surrounded by our "Pill Hill" neighbours and Macquarie University teaching hospital - and now we're ready to expand across Australia."

WiSE joins other members from across Macquarie Park's growing health, pharmaceutical and biosciences sectors - including Novartis, Abbott, and Johnson & Johnson, plus local and State Government.

Anthony O'Neill, Chair of the Board of Connect Macquarie Park Innovation District has welcomed WiSE as its newest member:

“Macquarie Park is already a globally significant centre for pharmaceutical, health, MedTech industry and research, with 20,000 new jobs planned for the Park in the coming years.”

"WiSE joins our influential partnership of leading employers, landowners, government and a world-class university at an exciting time. We're all working together to connect our smart community and accelerate the benefits of growth in Macquarie Park."

Membership of Connect Macquarie Park Innovation District is open to employers, landowners, institutions and emerging companies in Macquarie Park.
