Macquarie Park tech startup, Baraja, wins global gong

Local self-driving vehicle startup Baraja has been recognised on a global stage, as the recipient of the 2022 Frost & Sullivan Global Automotive LiDAR New Product Innovation Award.

The award recognised Baraja’s RMCW technology, which when coupled with their Spectrum-Scan™ system is considered among the most advanced in autonomous driving technology:

“Frost & Sullivan believes Baraja has pioneered an innovative solid-state LiDAR that paves the way for future advancements. With its strong overall performance, Baraja earns Frost & Sullivan’s 2022 Global New Product Innovation Award in the automotive LiDAR industry.”

Frost & Sullivan Awards recognise companies each year in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development.

Baraja’s recognition on the Forbes Asia 100 to watch 2022 list

A local startup success story, Baraja were the first tenant at CSIRO's Lindfield Collaboration Hub, and have gone on to occupy new global headquarters in Macquarie Park innovation district.

Their continuing research and product development in spectrum scanning systems is pioneering a diversified approach using locally developed technology - even popping up in mines in regional Australia.

Baraja’s Frost & Sullivan Award follows other recent industry recognition, with Forbes adding the company to their Asia 100 to Watch 2022 list.
