Always Going Your Way: Macquarie Park activity reaches 4-year record

New data analysis from Connect MPID has revealed climbing activity levels in Macquarie Park, as people return in their highest numbers for four years.

A combination of six-monthly counts of Metro and bus patronage plus M2 traffic volumes confirm more people are coming to Macquarie Park, with the number of people arriving by bus, train and car now exceeding pre-pandemic levels.

The new findings from Connect MPID come as workplaces continue to emphasise the value of in-person collaboration.

The trend of increasing activity is expected to continue in the years ahead - including a forecast surge when Stage 2 of Sydney Metro opens in 2024. The expanded Metro line will connect Macquarie Park direct to the city for the first time and expand our area’s 30-minute commuter catchment zone.

General Manager at Connect MPID Mark Ames said the numbers highlight the many reasons to come to Macquarie Park:

“This new analysis shows more people have been coming to Macquarie Park now than in many years - with a significant increase in 2023 compared to 2022.

It’s a strong sign of confidence as work teams come together to collaborate towards year-end, students take their exams, and late night shopping season kicks off at Macquarie Centre.

Macquarie Park is going to end 2023 with bumper in person activity.”

Connect Macquarie Park Innovation District’s campaign Always Going Your Way” is in market across Macquarie Park now.

Designed to showcase the convenience of coming to Macquarie Park by Metro and bus, while highlighting the amenity of our area, look out for the colourful posters in workplaces across the Park.
