Macquarie University campus is also sprinkled with more than 130 sculptures by some of Australia’s leading sculptors.
Established in 1992, the Sculpture Park is the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere and features local and global artists including Richard Byrnes, David Jensz, Gary Deirmendjian, Margaret Sheridan, Paul Hopmeier and its founder, the late Errol Davis (1926-2009).
There’s concrete, sandstone, limestone, stainless steel, bronze and copper, as well as a wide variety of other sculpture techniques on display. The Sculpture trail is divided into three sections - the Western Walk, Indoor Sites, and Lakeside Walk - and accessible year round!
Macquarie University has its own metro station, and is well-connected with dozens of local bus routes.
