The City of Ryde Council is making Macquarie Park even greener. Already the greenest CBD in NSW, Macquarie Park is bordered on one side by Lane Cove National Park and has more street tree coverage than either the City of Sydney or Parramatta CBDs.

Join the Council for National Tree Day as they help improve a wildlife corridor along Shrimptons Creek at ELS Hall Park. You can bring the family and spend some time improving the local environment.

All tools, gloves and training provided and they’ll be rolling out the BBQ for a free sausage sizzle for participants around midday.

Established in 1996, National Tree Day is Australia's largest community tree planting and nature care event. It’s purpose is to encourage all Australians to get their hands dirty and give back to their local environment and their community.

According to organisers, around 300,000 people volunteer their time each year and get involved in local environmental projects that benefit their community.
