Macquarie Park celebrates the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympics with exciting community events

As the Paris 2024 Olympics come to an end and the Paralympic buzz begins, lets take a look at what’s been happening in Macquarie Park and what’s to come.

With a record 18 gold medals won, we have loved cheering on our local stars who represented Macquarie Park on the global stage! Macquarie University lecturer Rachael ‘Raygun’ Gunn made waves in the Olympic debut sport of breaking, while current student Ella Beere competed fiercely in the canoe sprint. Let’s not forget Cameron McEntyre, an alumnus, who made his mark in the javelin throw. Congratulations to our amazing athletes! 💪🌟

For those who want to experience the Games on the big screen, the Top Ryde City Outdoor Piazza is the place to be. Screenings start at 5:00 pm each night, and it's a vibrant spot to watch the games. On Saturday, August 10th, there will be plenty of finals action to enjoy.  Enjoy delicious meals from local restaurants and get involved in free kids’ activities like face painting and ‘Shoot the Hoop.’ Don’t forget to wear your green and gold to support our athletes!  📺

Macquarie Park is proud to celebrate and support our athletes during Paris 2024. Whether you're catching the action live or diving into local festivities, the Olympic spirit is alive and well in Macquarie Park!
