Sanofi secures top spot in 2023 AFR BOSS Best Places to Work list

We are proud to share exciting news from one of our Connect MPID members, Sanofi (Talavera Road). The Macquarie Park-headquartered healthcare leader has secured a top spot in this year's AFR BOSS Best Places to Work list!

The AFR BOSS list ranks the best workplaces in Australia and New Zealand across 10 different industries - including healthcare - and recognises organisations that are pioneering new ways of working and pushing the boundaries when it comes to workplace policies and practices.

An extensive vetting process includes staff survey and written submission, followed by a comprehensive assessment by consultants Inventium using their 'Workplaces of the Future' framework, which is based on leading research.

This prestigious accolade is a testament to Sanofi's leading HR strategy which prioritises a well-rounded wellbeing program, gender pay parity, gender-neutral policies, career development, diversity and inclusion.

Karen Hood, Country Lead at Sanofi Australia & New Zealand, accepted the award and acknowledged Sanofi's culture and ethos:

“At Sanofi, we understand that it’s our leaders’ job to give our people the tools and guide rails to succeed, support their thirst for innovation, and watch their careers fly. This is a really special symbol of being on the right path”.

This year’s award judges highlighted the ongoing so-called “war for talent” as a key theme, alongside employee wellbeing and the role culture plays in encouraging people back into the workplace.

The recognition of Sanofi follows other Macquarie Park innovation district workplaces topping prior iterations of the AFR BOSS list.

Novartis Australia (Waterloo Road) and Medtronic (Alma Road) were featured finalists in 2022, and Johnson & Johnson (Khartoum Road) topped the awards in the healthcare category in 2021.
