Earlier last month Macquarie University’s Chancellor, Dr Martin Parkinson AC PSM, and Vice-Chancellor, Professor S Bruce Dowton, hosted a luncheon forum for a group of business leaders from the Macquarie Park Innovation District (MPID).

Dr Parkinson addressed representatives from a range of sectors, including healthcare, technology, automation, medtech, transport and logistics, and developers, on how these leading institutions can collaborate to shape the economic future of the MPID and of Australia.

An economist, Dr Parkinson was one of Australia’s most senior public servants for 30 years, most recently as Secretary of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet.  He has been Chancellor of Macquarie University since October 2019.
