The hybrid toolkit helping leading Macquarie Park employers

The flags are out, events are on, and offices are re-opening across Macquarie Park. As we all define our “new normal” Connect Macquarie Park Innovation District members can benefit from an extensive toolkit designed to improve hybrid working culture.

Early in the pandemic many Connect members identified they were already ahead of the curve in providing flexible working arrangements, but asked for our help to define what the workplace means now, and how to build genuine flexible culture.

We commissioned the experienced team at flex specialists Juggle Strategies to build our exclusive members-only toolkit, filled with practical checklists, coaching videos and exercises to help employers understand how hybrid fits within their workplace.

Maja Paleka, the toolkit author and Director at Juggle Strategies, understands the need for leaders to shift their thinking, and to provide direction, trust and support:

“Getting hybrid ways of working right not only requires a different organisational approach (away from rules and policy, and more towards principles and guidelines) but is also going to require a different approach to leadership than some managers have been used to.”

“It is about building the two-way relationship of trust and accountability - extending trust and expecting accountability back.”

Connect MPID’s hybrid toolkit includes a 5-step program, covering:

  • Executive alignment

  • Team ways of working

  • Individual conversations

  • The role of the office; and

  • Tools to go further.

It’s one of several practical resources available in the Members Only section of the Connect MPID website, including case studies, unique data, and a car parking toolkit - as well as on demand seminars from the Connect Community, our member’s community of practice.

Members of the Connect Macquarie Park Innovation District include the leading employers, institutions and Government agencies in Macquarie Park, who are working together as a unified voice to advance our area.
