Name change for Johnson & Johnson division as they embrace MedTech
Johnson & Johnson’s medical devices division has adopted a new global brand name, and will now be known as Johnson & Johnson MedTech - with their Australian base here, in Macquarie Park.
Already a global leader in medical technology, the MedTech division of Johnson & Johnson covers interventional solutions, surgery and vision - with brand names including Biosense Webster, Cerenovus, DePuy Synthes, Ethicon, Acclarent and Acuvue.
Sue Martin, ANZ Managing Director at Johnson & Johnson affirmed the significance of the organisation’s focus on MedTech:
"We are excited about this change and believe we are already well into our journey to be the leading MedTech company."
J&J’s Australian office have embraced the MedTech focus, recently unveiling a first-of-its-kind robotic surgeon for Australia, with the division picking up a Top Ten spot on Fast Company's 2022 Most Innovative Companies list.
The family company’s regional headquarters are based in Macquarie Park, with new state-of-the-art offices under construction at multi-billion dollar development, M_Park.
With neighbours including Macquarie University Hospital, the MedTech Association of Australia and other market leaders, the JJMT team will be right at home here in the heart of Australia’s original innovation district.
