Macquarie Park success story Till Payments grow in to new HQ

From local start-up to international success story: Macquarie Park’s Till Payments is on the journey of a lifetime!

The home-grown fintech firm’s team has expanded 204% in just 12 months, and recently moved to a new flagship global HQ at 78 Waterloo Road - in the heart of the Macquarie Park innovation district.

The payment technology company services clients in more than 500 cities around the world, and specialises in omni-channel payment processing systems.

Speaking on the business podcast Funny Business, CEO at Till Shadi Haddad said that fast growth wasn’t without challenges:

“As computers and deep tech gets stronger, the ability to solve problems and create solutions is getting easier.”

“But hyper growth is hard. You’ve got to change your mindset and everyone in your business needs to come along for that journey”

Till Payments began small, founded in 2012 to offer tap-and-go payments for the parking industry in Sydney. It’s since expanded to work with 350 financial connections in 13 countries around the world with customers including Nike, IGA, BMW Australia, Oxford, Bar Biscotti, and Gallagher Hotels. The founder-led firm raised $110 million in series C investment last year.

With TPG Telecom purchasing new HQ in the Park in 2021 and consumer logistics app Menulog moving here in 2022, Macquarie Park’s tech sector is burgeoning says Mark Ames, General Manager of Connect Macquarie Park Innovation District:

“It’s great to see Till Payment’s name on the marquee of 78 Waterloo Road. That’s a clear signal that if you’re a scale up tech firm on a fast-paced growth journey there’s space to grow right here in Macquarie Park.

You can plug straight in to a talent pool that’s already serving the needs of your competitors, and keep on innovating with strong connections to our research community.”

We’re thrilled to see Till outgrow their old offices and find a new state-of-the-art home in Macquarie Park. Welcome!
