The ‘future of work’ is a hot topic, with seismic shifts taking place in companies across the globe due to the global coronavirus pandemic.

Novartis, one of many global pharmaceutical companies located in Macquarie Park, views the future of work as one that is increasingly family friendly for their employees.

Recently certified by a national program as a ‘Family Friendly Workplace’, Novartis is developing a workplace that enables parents and carers to balance their homelife as a priority.

Country President of Novartis Australia and New Zealand, Richard Tew says he is proud of their commitment:

“Ultimately, a supportive environment is an important driver of the wellbeing, job satisfaction and productivity of our people,” said Mr Tew.

The certification program provides a consistent benchmark to measure the progress of family friendly workplaces, giving a clear approach to standards developed in unison with UNICEF Australia.

Mr Tew recently spoke about why becoming a Family Friendly Workplace was important to his workplace in a new online video.
