You’re invited! Meet the Ryde Council candidates
City of Ryde Council elections are coming up on 4 December, and we’re bringing you a great opportunity to connect with the people who are vying to be Macquarie Park’s elected representatives.
In partnership with the Macquarie Park Ryde Business Chamber, our first face-to-face event in several months will give you the chance to meet and hear from the candidates themselves, as well as raise questions or suggestions about the future of Macquarie Park.
As Sydney’s third largest CBD, the success of Macquarie Park is critical to the success of the Ryde area. Designated as a priority precinct by the Premier of NSW in 2020, the next 20 years will see more than 20,000 jobs created and 10,000 new homes built here.
Between 20-30% of people who work in Macquarie Park also live in the Ryde local government area, and as the number of residential dwellings increases, that number will also increase.
Looking ahead, Macquarie Park will see widespread urban regeneration, an increase in the number of local residents, improvements to transport services, plus the challenge of more students and employees returning to the precinct post-COVID-19.
Whether you live in the area, or own a business in Macquarie Park, this is a great opportunity to be part of a collaborative environment with the people who may lead Macquarie Park into the future. It gives us all an opportunity to discuss the ongoing public investment and initiatives in and around the area to attract industry and business and ultimately help Macquarie Park reach its goals.
