Have your say on new Bus Depot and Ryde’s Economic Development and Night-Time Economy Strategies

Following the confirmation of $115 million via the Federal Budget, Transport for NSW have are progressing plans to build a new zero emission electric bus depot at Macquarie Park. 

The Macquarie Park Bus Depot will accommodate approx. 165 battery electric buses, supporting public transport services to not just the district but also the lower North Shore and Northwest suburbs of Sydney, stretching to Chatswood and Parramatta. 

Construction is expected to start in early 2025 and be completed by late 2027 and TfNSW are inviting the community to have their say on the project by 5pm, Monday 24 June 2024.

The City of Ryde have released a draft Economic Development Strategy and Night-Time Economy Strategy and are also seeking community feedback. 

The City of Ryde want to hear thoughts from workers, students and residents from the area. 

Local businesses are invited to attend the Ryde Business Forum on Thursday 13 June, 5:30pm – 8pm at Macquarie University. 

Submissions must be received by Sunday 30 June 2024.
